From ThinkProgress - Televangelist Pat Robertson Affirms Transgender Identities

Televangelist Pat Robertson Affirms Transgender Identities
Jul 29th 2013, 18:39, by Zack Ford

In a refreshing change of pace from his usual anti-LGBT condemnations, evangelist Pat Robertson used his question-and-answer time on The 700 Club today to affirm people who are transgender. It wasn't clear that Robertson fully understood trans identities, but he did say that there was nothing wrong with transitioning and respecting people who do:
ROBERTSON: I think there are men who are in a woman's body. It's very rare, but it's true — or women that are in men's bodies. And they want a sex change, and that is a very permanent thing — believe me, when you have certain body parts amputated and you are shot up with various kinds of hormones. It's a radical procedure.
I don't think there's any sin associated with that. I don't condemn somebody for doing that.
Watch it:
Robertson seemed to equivocate about how trans people should be legally identified, but nonetheless discouraged the viewer who had submitted the question from judging the trans individuals: "It's not for you to decide or to judge." He may want a "Vomit" button for when he sees gay couples kissing on Facebook, and he may compare them to murderers, rapists, and thieves, but at least he seems to appreciate what trans people experience.
Given trans people experience high rates of discrimination and have no protections nationally or in 33 states, Robertson's affirmation could have a profound positive fact among social conservatives.

You neglected to include the part where he mentions that he doubts the validity of men who want to be regarded as women without actually BEING women (full-time transvestites, etc). In other words, he understands the difference between real transsexuals and penis-packing tee-gees.

Yeah... I simply posted this cause it seems to be a step in the right direction? When we are dealing with groups like this we can't reasonably expect a 100% turnaround in thinking overnight... I do hope your "real transsexuals" comment was sarcasm?!
