From CNN - Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer vetoes SB 1062

Its amazing what people do when they realize we don't live in the dark ages. While this will hardly end discrimination, I think people are starting to wake up to the fact that the tide is changing. Hopefully things change for the better for all of us. In the US and abroad.

i think the only reason she "vetoed" that bill is because major companies said they would either pullout of arizona costing them revenue and that vacationers ended planned tourism dollars the state needed. i truly believe based on her refusal to answer directly which side of this bill she sat on; that had these major companies and tourists no spoken up in protest, she would have signed that bill. her refusal to be outspoken about the hypocrisy of this bill was her unspoken endorsement of it.

Can't say that I disagree but I think the point is they hopefully are realizing that regardless of their extreme views on this issue this world is changing. Attitudes are changing. They can either accept it and move on of look silly pushing pathetic attempts like this with the hope they can slow it down.
